FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
So many families are one car repair, one medical bill, one broken hot water heater away from financial crisis. When an unexpected expense throws off a family's budget, the last thing they need to worry about is how to keep a roof over their heads.

PRISM's emergency financial assistance provides 0% interest loans to qualifying families and individuals to cover housing costs and/or other necessary expenses in times of financial crisis.

Financial Assistance Appointments
To access PRISM's Emergency Financial Assistance, call PRISM at (763) 529-1350.

What to expect at your appointment

After attendance a budget class, an appointment can be scheduled. Upon arrival at PRISM, families will check in with the receptionist and then sign in at the front desk. If an application is not completed before the day of appointment, families should arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment time to fill out the required paperwork.

Appointments last approximately 1 hour. During that time, the family and the caseworker discuss the current financial situation and any extraneous circumstances that have caused the family to be short of money. The case worker will review the household budget.

Financial Assistance applications are reviewed and, if approved, a check is made out to the landlord, mortgage company, or other vendor directly to cover the cost of the expense. Families are then invoiced monthly until their 0% interest loan is paid off.
